kirstinpanter @suzewoodward Hi there! Laying flat, the waist is about 16.5 inches (41 centimetres) across. The fabric information tag has been removed, so I am unsure of their true material. The pants feel like a synthetic material, probably polyester, with a soft brushed texture. The waist is elastic, but the pants themselves do not have much stretch. I hope this helps :)
