hylastudio Hi, in answer to your question they can be called shoulder wrap, poncho cape, poncho, shoulder poncho, and various other names. They can be worn as you have shown or with the buttons going across one shoulder, or unbuttoned and worn as a stole or scarf...the options are endless. I think this would be the perfect thing to have on hand on for any evening when it's cooler. (Too much info?) Hope this helps! 😊🌷🌊

hylastudio With the buttons across one shoulder and open a bit at the bottom, it can look very elegant. Check the knitting website ravelry dot com and search for button shoulder poncho to see a few examples..
