Rab's fluorocarbon free Hydrophobic Down is their usual high quality European down, but treated with a water-repelling coating so it's more water resistant and will maintain its loft. It performs more effectively in damp conditions than untreated down - it absorbs less water, dries faster and retains loft. Its narrow-baffled construction prevents the down fill from spreading or bunching and gives maximum loft, and the fixed insulated hood (with positionable peak) gives you supreme protection from winter weather. The whole jacket can be packed away into the supplied stuff sack (in some older versions it stuffs into its own pocket) for easy storage or to make a usable pillow.
