The mosquitos are horrendous where I live, and since deet is a known carcinogen that isn't recommended for use on kids under 12 years old and no other mosquito sprays or holistic remedies have been proven to work (trust me, I've tried everything), bug nets and full coverage clothing it is! Since this is a soft net with no hard frame, I was able to use it in lots of creative ways to keep the bugs off my babies while I babywore them in a carrier on walks as well.
