Hello, have you tried dry cleaning the staining (I.e. is it permanent or do you think I can remove it)? Also is this a light coat or warm?

@ameliahanna Hi there. No, I haven't taken it for dry cleaning, but I would assume the stain could be removed as it was from slushy snow spatter. It is along the bottom edge. The coat is fairly thick and warm. It is made of wool. I hope this answers your questions.
