Anything to prove Chanel and authenticity?

@coraclara the date stamp. I also purchased from a very well known reseller.

@jamiehanet I don’t see any date stamp, and I would hope if it were authentic Chanel there would be some proof of authenticity - it can’t just be that you bought it from a well known posher.

Or reseller.

@coraclara not sure if you are new to Chanel jewelry but my collection has over 200 pieces from 1970’s to now and 99% doesn’t come with any proof of authenticity. These are not items from the
Last few years. These are pieces people have had for 10-50 years.
As a buyer, I authenticate my pieces before buying and once received.

And I don’t purchase Chanel on posh. I use resellers that buy directly from boutique or source from clients closets.

I am happy to provide current photos for authentication or do it myself with current photos at buyers expense.

@jamiehanet I understand.
I own a good collection of luxury items. Chanel and others. I do not buy to sell, I buy for my collection and as an investment for my future and my daughter’s future. I have purchased items from Paris and Italy, and I have purchased from readers and consign it’s here.. but I have never purchased anything without some authentication included.
If you have had these items appraised and authenticated, can you share that information?

Yep I can show mine but it’s from a year ago when I bought the item. I also only purchase for my own collection but I have too much so I’m trying to downsize. From my experience with jewelry, the buyer usually gets authentication done. I have the entire Barbie collection and I had it authenticated myself. Purchased from all over the world. I wouldn’t trust someone else to get it authenticated honestly. Can be forged. I use my own photos and an authentication company I trust.

@jamiehanet thanks for the photos. Will consider, but honestly have never bought a luxury name item for over $1K that’s didn’t come with some form of authenticity. That’s a lot of money to blindly buy something in a world of excellent fakes. I know you understand what I am saying if you are a collector. Respectfully, It would be easy if you lived in my city to meet and have something appraised and authenticated.

@coraclara I added photos of the authentication. So it does have one.

And Poshmark authenticates the item as well. It says free authentication on the listing
