This gem is just so pretty, it will change color from bluish purple to a deep green color depending on the light. I've taken pictures in different lighting so you can see the color change. I picked this particular stone for it's deep velvety color. This would make a lovely promise or engagement ring. This are sizable by any decent jeweler so if you are unsure of the size, it can be sized up or down by up to 2 sizes. I have to mention that because this gem is grown from a tiny piece of natural alexandrite, many shops call this kind of gem "natural". To be transparent, I call it what it is, lab grown or created.
