Solid 10k Gold Ring with Colour-change Synthetic Sapphire

A beautiful statement ring! Features a claw setting that allows for easy cleaning and really lets the light into the corundum. This synthetic stone is made to mimic Alexandrite and so has colour-change properties from greenish greyish purple to purple depending on the type of light you're in. Corundum is the species of gem that sapphires and rubies are. It has the same physical properties so is fairly hard (9 on the Mohs scale of hardness) Size 6.5 The stone measures approx. 14mm (round faceted) In great condition! One of the pictures shows a chip and an abrasion on the crown/table. It's hard to photograph but, if you look closely you'll see it :)
