Solid Verdite Stone Shona Bust of African Chief (Signed Nicholas Tandi)

Collectible fine art bust of an African chief from Zimbabwe, Africa, signed NICHOLAS TANDI. Perfect condition. The sculpture is hand-carved on Verdite stone using a humble hammer and chisel. Dimensions are 23 cm high, 10 cm wide, 13 cm deep. Verdite formed billions of years ago and is only found in a specific region in Zimbabwe. This stone is becoming increasingly rare due to its popularity in Shona Art, and will run out in the near future, thereby increasing the value of all Verdite sculptures.
