Reposhing these incredible shoes I purchased from @archetypo: “These towering and iconic platform wedges inspired so many copies back in, I want to say around 2010-ish? This pair, however, is the original. There's a certain je ne sais quoi with the minimalist contrast between the shiny patent leather and the layer of grey crepe rubber covering the lug-soled platform. It almost looks like the platforms are carved out of concrete or asphalt, giving these shoes a very solid and architectural feel. Nothing fancy, no frilly details, just sheer poetry of form. This pair is in a size 41 that accurately fits a US 9.5, could likely even fit a size 10 with the rounded toe box.” …I am obsessed with these, and @archetypo’s entire closet, tbh (you absolutely MUST check it out) but after carefully wearing them on two short indoor occasions, I have to concede that they are just too big for my stupid 9.25” foot 😭 I even tried with insoles, but they threw off where the vamp contacted the top of my foot, making them effectively unwearable for me. Devastating!! I’d have powered through a lot to wear these babies 😤 Hopefully my heartfelt LOSS is your gain! (I know, I’m being dramatic.
