The boot is lined and tested to -73 degrees Celsius (-100 F) during active use. The Sorel Intrepid Explorer is inspired by and among other things designed for the legendary Yukon Quest dog sled race, and is THE winter boot for the arctic regions or if you just don't want to freeze your toes if you have to be out in severe frost for a whole day. The high shaft helps to keep the snow out and helps to warm the calves, and is made of PU-coated nylon which is wind and water resistant. Removable 13mm ThermoPlusT felt sock and 13mm Sorel® Meltdown insole. These incredible boots keep your feet completely warm and dry! Worn over a weekend in the mountains.
