❤️Soviet Union USSR Porcelain Figurine “Levko and Hanna” with Bandura – “May Night”, 1960-1970s.
Beautiful vintage porcelain figurine depicting Levko and Hanna, characters from the beloved Ukrainian story May Night, or the Drowned Maiden by Nikolai Gogol. Levko, a young Cossack, serenades Hanna with his bandura under the moonlit sky – a romantic scene rooted in Slavic folklore and 19th-century literature.
Created by renowned Soviet porcelain artists Dudenko and Nikiforenko, this piece was produced between 1962 and 1976. It bears the authentic factory hallmark from this period on the base (see catalog photo).
Measurements: Height – 18 cm; base diameter – 8.5 cm; width – approx. 9 cm.
