Originally from Texarkana, Texas, Bonnie Baxter is an acclaimed interdisciplinary artist who founded the print studio Atelier du Scarabée in Quebec. From 1985 to 1993, she was the master printmaker of all the engravings by Jean Paul Riopelle. Spirit Figure II (1989) is inspired by primitive art and explores the relationship between male and female energies within the natural world. Stunning colours and power. Current exhibit at Musée des Beaux-Arts de Sherbrooke (February 2023). Artwork was purchased directly from the artist.
