Stan Shepherd Jr Horse Hair Pottery Feather Motif Dine Navajo Raku Vase

This strikingly decorative clay pot / vase was made by a Navajo - Dine artist, Stan Shepherd Jr. It was made with the horse hair technique which is similar to raku. This piece has the outline of a stylized feather painted on the surface in white. It is signed on the bottom. It is approximately 5 inches across and approximately 4 inches tall.
