Stately Empire-Period (1830-1845) Porcelain Cup and Saucer, Germany

KPM Berlin fantastic antique cup and saucer. Peach and white with heavy gold. Cup has scrollwork serpent/gargoyle head handle, and a footed base. Very good antique condition, (cup excellent) no cracks or chips. Moderate gold wear to outside edges of saucer. Marked on base dating it to approximately 1840. Likely a custom order for someone celebrating a birthday or anniversary, inscribed on front of cup in gold lettering (in German).
