Statement brooch signed de Passillé Sylvestre

Quebec artisans Micheline de Passillé and Yves Sylvestre produced some of the most bold and distinctive modernist enamel jewelry of the 1960's and 1970's. DPS pieces were given by the Canadian and Quebec governments to such visitors as Madame Charles de Gaulle and Princess Grace of Monaco! This brooch features a fascinating - perhaps imaginary - long beaked bird on a textured background in rich shades of brown. It about 2-1/4 X 1-7/8 inches and is in very good condition.
