Stauer Amethyst Graduated Beaded Necklace

This necklace is beaded and has an adjustable lobster clasp closure made of a gold tone metal, as well as a maker's tag stamped STAUER. The necklace is strung with 2 main types of beads: spherical genuine amethyst beads that graduate gently from front to back, and gold tone metal spacers. The bead material was confirmed by a gem tester, but is also listed elsewhere by other sellers. I don't know a ton about Stauer but from what I can see, they make beautiful, high quality pieces. Other listings have described the metal spacer beads as gold plated, which makes sense as the tone is starting to come off and reveal a silver tone, but I can't confirm the gold plating with the tools I have available. The necklace has normal wear, including the metal spacer tone loss as mentioned, as well as some tone loss in the maker's tag and clasp metal, which may or may not have been gold plated as well. That said, the amethyst beads all appear to be in good condition, and there do not appear to be any that are cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged. Despite the fading metal spacers, this necklace is stunning and very well made. Well done, Stauer.
