Sterkowski - Fiddler Cap - Maciejowka Model 4

A Fiddler-style cap made by Sterkowski Hats, made in Poland. This cap is made of wool and is a rich olive colour. The visor, sweatband, and chin-strap are all leather. The size is 59cm. This style of hat, sometimes called a "Fiddler" or "Breton" cap, was popularized in Poland by the Polish Legions during the First World War. The "Maciejówka" hat, as it was known, would become their standard headdress for their uniform. This is one of many models that Sterkowski makes of this type of hat, probably one of the nicer ones with the leather visor. Overall in good condition, only worn a few times.
