Sterling Silver Ring Braided Pattern w/ Round Black Stone 925 Hallmarked Onyx?

Sterling silver ring marked 925 plus another marking that is partially worn off. Size 6.25. Black stone set in the middle, which does not let any light through at all. Could be onyx, I don't know.
