Niello is a black mixture of several metals used as an inlay on engraved or etched metal, especially silver. These leafy niello earrings are about 3/4 inch in diameter ad feature screw backs.They are marked Sterling and SK, which research suggests was a Japan jewelry maker. In very good condition, with minor tarnish. (h)
