This might look like a sock-bootie, but on the foot, it feels like a d'Orsay pump with a toe strap and a heel cup. That's where there's leather reinforcement on this shoe. The stretchy sock bootie part doesn't provide any support, nor do the delicate chiffon tie wraps, although they look amazing on the foot. I love a shoe that brings a dose of drama and intrigue to your outfit, and this pair is all that. The shape of the platform gives this shoe an oddly graceful hoof-like silhouette, a little extra edge, in the event you want to cosplay a dark faerie queen, for example. Or whatever look you'd like to add more drama to, there are so many possibilities. Sadly for me, even though I usually fit into a size EU41, this pair fits extra large, so even with the ties wrapped tight, they still flop around on my feet. And no wonder, the footbed measures almost 11". These will likely best fit a size 10.5 - 11 foot, even the width seems fairly generous. The heel measures 4.5", and there's a 1.5" platform at the front, making this a reasonable 3". Yes, you can have fashion without sacrifice!
