Stunning in sterling - vintage Georg Jensen tulip earrings

The mid-century creations of the Georg Jensen company (founded by silversmith Jensen in Denmark in 1904) were always desirable and now are highly sought after. Harald Nielsen (1892-1977), the designer of these screw-on earrings, was known for his clean Art Deco like lines.* Made of substantial sterling silver, these pieces measure 7/8" x just over 5/8". They bear the impressed company marks for Georg Jensen circa post -1945 (the name George Jensen in a dotted oval), as well as the design number, 106, and Sterling/Denmark. I believe they date from the 50s or 60s. Beautiful and in excellent conditon. *Fun fact: Nielsen, who spent his entire career with the company, was the younger brother of Jensen's third wife!
