Stunning vintage* lightweight woven skirt suit by Linda Allard Ellen Tracy
Shades of brown, red, gold, copper, & green
Semi-translucent loosely woven fabric
Jacket is unlined, has single hook-and-eye closure, cropped sleeves, & bound armholes
(Jacket also used to have thin shoulder pads, but as time passed I updated the jacket by removing them)
Skirt has back zipper and vent, no defined waistband, & is lined in black acetate
45% wool, 30% nylon, 25% mohair
Flawless condition
Can be worn separately — the jacket looks fabulous over palazzo pants — but selling as a set only

* Ellen Tracy was founded in 1949 by Herbert Gallen, a juniors manufacturer. In 1984 Linda’s name was added to the label. The company was hugely successful, hiring many of the 80s supermodels (like Cindy Crawford and Linda Seymour) to star in its ad campaigns.
* The firm was sold to Liz Claiborne in 2003; Allard retired and removed her name from the label.
