Superb vintage guilloche & sterling pendant ball watch - working well!

From those wonderful watchmakers of Switzerland comes this fine circa 1970s specimen, about 2-1/4X2-3/4 inches when hanging from its bow brooch. The piece was creating using guilloche, a highly decorative technique which combines mechanical engraving and translucent enamels to create surface embellishment on metal. Signed Bader (a renowned name in watchmaking) Geneve Swiss, the white watch face has gold hands and notches for numbers, making it easy to read despite its diminutive size (3/8 of an inch in diameter, set in a 3/4-inch ball). The bow is marked 925 on the back. This piece is in excellent shape and the watch appears to keep perfect time, with regular (probably daily) winding. It is both practical and very pretty. (t)
