Surface to Air anthracite suede Alley Ankle wedge booties, EU40, GUC

Surface to Air is a Parisian creative film studio and fashion brand, although I'm not 100% sure they're still doing the fashion part. Back when I first heard of them in around 2010, it was their edgy, architectural shoe designs that got me hooked. Even now, there are a couple of their designs that are instantly recognizable - notably their iconic buckle wedge sandal which was everywhere & widely copied throughout the early to mid-teens. I bought this pair of wedge ankle boots from Shoescribe in 2012, and even though technically they were a bit small, I loved them so much I wore them anyway - with very thin socks. Like many of the shoes that I wore to teach djembe classes, this pair has some scuffing on the inside of the heels from where I'd hold the drum, but since these are anthracite coloured suede to begin with, there are no visible black rubber skidmarks like on so many of my other shoes. I didn't brush the suede before taking pictures, so you can see some visible areas of scuffing, but I'm confident that a good suede cleaning and brushing will bring them back to almost new condition. The leather soles are fairly scuffed and I added the non-slip sticker on the bottom, but I'd recommend getting a rubber resole anyway. With a slight platform and around a 3" heel, these are super comfortable for all day wear. Size EU40, these will work best for a size 9, or a narrow 9.5. Sill a lot of life in this pair, could be a great wardrobe staple for years to come.
