T.G. Green Granville vintage individual lidded casserole pot.
Responding to the demand for rustic kitchens, T.G. Green launched the Granville range as the sixties shifted into the seventies. A rich palette of earth tones, it was named after a small area about a mile or so from its Church Gresley base.
Flour and bread crocks and cheese domes were the center pieces of the collection, although the mainstays were the oven to tableware. The early casseroles were traditional oval ones or deep casserole pots, although these eventually gave way to the more modern round shape. Bakeware came in the form of rectangular baking dishes, together with ones for the seventies favorites of souffles and flans.
Made in England.
This lidded pot is perfect for your collection or a replacement piece for your existing set.
Great vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks but does have a small amount of very light crazing to the inside bottom of the pot. The lid is also slightly larger than the pot, but the lid sits on the pot just not nestled into the rim. Please see the photos. The price reflects this.
Please remember when purchasing vintage items that they have a history attached to them and often show wear, which I do my very best to disclose.
