Brand-new Tanner Goods Wilderness rucksack in all-black. Purchased online from a recent sample sale and only realized how big it was when I received it. It feels like it's at least 30 litres, which is far too big for me to use as a daily carry. Never taken outdoors.
If you know about Tanner Goods, you know that their older stuff was made in USA, and rivals the likes of heritage-inspired companies like Filson, Trakke, or Frost River. The quality of this backpack is insane. The all-leather strap, carry handle, and card holder slots all come from the Horween tannery in Chicago. They use solid brass rivets and natural wool felt for the laptop liner and the inside of the shoulder straps. The fabric is a heavy waxed canvas.
There are many reviews of this pack online, my personal favourite is the Chase Reeves review (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2_Nd44_sJY).
I debated keeping it and seeing if I could find a use for it over time, but I just don't need something this large. If you're looking for a heritage backpack for travel, or if you just like larger rucksacks, they don't come any nicer than this.
