Taxco México Eagle 90 GZH Brooch Pendant Xiuhtecuhtli God Lord of Fire Ceremony

Brooch and a new Italian chain are included 925 Taxco México Eagle 90 Brooch Pin Pendant Xiuhtecuhtli God Lord of Fire Ceremony A nice piece of mexicana pre-colonial era, this vintage brooch has two plates of sterling silver (top and bottom) and a black onyx or obsidian in between as background. The front has silver inlay of an Aztec God on a brass chair, I believe is Xiuhtecuhtli, Lord of Fire, Cosmos and Volcanos in a ceremony. He was connected to the Gran Templo de Tenochtitlan (now Mexico DF) The Aztecs were very strong believers of fire and kept constant fires burning inside their homes, so fires were always present in their rituals and the Lord of Fire and Volcanos was known for causing major disasters on Earth so the Aztecs will make rituals to make him happy. Markings HECHO EN MEXICO DF 925 GZH EAGLE 90 (partial) Markings are described in Mexican Silver Hallmarks Book Pages 216 and 180 Preloved Vintage Used Retired Condition in Sterling Silver 925. The pendant is in original state with minimum patina, if you would like it clean, please let me know, so I can polish it before sending it. Excellent condition except for the pin that shows wear.
