Thakoon Addition Warwick shearling-lined high top sneakers, sz 40, NWT

Thakoon Addition Warwick - a sleek shearling lined hi-top whip-stitched sneaker, in black leather. How I wish I'd found these in a size 41! I've tried them on a few times, and to be fair, they actually do go on my feet - but when I'm in a sneaker mood, I don't want to be wrestling with them. I'd much rather just slip them on effortlessly. So if you're a size 9.5 with narrow and limber feet, these will more than likely fit just fine, but otherwise, and especially if you like wearing thicker socks when it's cold out, I'd recommend being a size 9. These are somewhat moccasin-like sneakers, with a sharp whipstitch around the toes, and the leather is fantastically soft and beautiful. That's not to suggest I wouldn't have worn the crap out of them outdoors if they'd fit me. Unlike moccasins, they have a rubber sneaker sole, so they can handle outdoor wear. There's a cozy shearling lining all around the ankles and the tongue lining, but the shearling stops at the base of the tongue. You may need those thicker socks despite the double-thickness of buttery-soft leather in the toebox.
