These are semi glossy oil based prints and text on rich paper they rarely use today for books. I see this for cookbooks or high end fashion, photography books. Whether for reading, reference or crafting this big book will supply you with endless possibilities. Highly sought after art history book. I used this in College and it is a staple for any artist. The best reference book in my opinion that touches on everything relevant to get a well rounded education in art history. In used condition but inside pages are slick semi gloss, and in great shape. Only the beginning pages have some creasing and cover is faded but good and solid. It was a miracle finding this book at all. You can definitely restore vibrancy with an acrylic paint wash over it as inside the book is in great condition with exception of first few pages but none of the paintings art pages are affected. Selling $160 in aftermarket art books. This book is VERY HEAVY. It is 3.380 kg. or 7.6lbs. .For anyone who loves the smell of fine printing ink, the book still has the fresh press smell to it if you know what I mean. 1127 pgs approximately. I noticed a small image cut out. I will photocopy and insert that page where I noticed this from my own book. I just happened to see it flipping it.
