The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge Book

The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge by M. T. Anderson and Eugene Yelchin A very silly and enjoyable multimedia novel about an elf and a goblin from warring nations trying earnestly to learn about each other’s cultures, but struggling to understand them through the lenses of their own—and hopefully not causing the end of the world while they’re at it! A beautiful exploration of how culture and history can be misinterpreted and vary depending on who is telling the story. Appropriate for upper middle grade or lower YA audiences (or anyone who likes to have a bit of fun while reading!) This novel is told partly through traditional narration, partly through illustrations, and partly through letter correspondence. This unique writing style is both enjoyable and refreshing, and strengthens the story being told. The book is hardcover, with the front and back covers printed directly on the hardback (no sleeve). There is one white spot on the cover and on the spine, likely scuffs from transit to the bookstore. They were already there when I bought the book but didn’t bother me. There is some light wear at the top and bottom of the spine, but the pages themselves are in perfect condition with no marks, scuffs, dings, stains, or dog-ears. Price is negotiable, especially if buying multiple items. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and hope someone else will as well!
