This is "The Compleat Angler" (sometimes The Complete Angler) first published in 1653 by Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton. This edition was published by Random House as part of their The Modern Library series with an introduction by Geoffrey Keynes. It is undated.
It is a green hardcover book with the title and decoration on the covers and spine in gilt on a red field. This book even includes a little song with the musical notation. It is a celebration of the art and spirit of fishing in prose and verse.
There is wear to the cover and spine with bumped corners. The inner pages have a bit of yellowing with foxing around the edges. The binding is solid. There is no dust jacket. Please see all of the photos.
