"The Water-Babies, A Fairy Tale for a Land-Baby," is a children's novel by Charles Kingsley. Written in 1862–63 as a serial for Macmillan's Magazine, it was first published in its entirety in 1863. The book was extremely popular in England, and was a mainstay of British children's literature for many decades. This edition was published by Constable & Company in 1979 and is a reprint of the 1915 edition. It has a cream colored hard cover with black lettering on the spine. There are beautiful Full Color plates and charming line drawings throughout by W. Heath Robinson. Condition: There are bumped corners on the covers and spine of the book. The pages within are very clean. The dust jacket is sun bleached and price clipped. Please see all the photos.
