This is "The Winter of Our Discontent," by John Steinbeck, published by The Viking Press in 1961. The copyright page states: "First published in 1961 by The Viking Press, Inc." so a first edition. It has olive green cloth covered boards, silver lettering on the cover inside a red panel, and silver and red lettering on the spine. The pages are deckle edged. There is no dust jacket. As you can see from the photos, it is in very good condition. There is a little wear to the cover and spine along with bumped corners. There is an embossed previous owners name inside the front cover. The pages are very clean and unmarked, only slightly yellowed around the edges. The binding is tight and sound.
