The reverse design by RCM engraver Eric Boyer features a finely sculpted portrait of a timber wolf, also known as the grey wolf (Canis lupus), engraved in extraordinarily high relief (EHR). The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Il by Susanna Blunt.
