Thornton Burgess Animal Stories - 1942 Vintage Children's Book

Vintage 1942 children's book featuring animal stories by Thornton Burgess. Illustrated by Harrison Cady. Bright orange cover, no dust jacket. Lots of beautiful colour and black& white illustrations. It's in excellent condition; the binding is so tight I can't believe it's over 80 years old! There is a small stain on the cover and the owner's name on the inside. There are also some sharp(ish) bends in the last 15 pages; see the last two photos.
