threewitches @paulk795 hi there, I have tried winding it and it does not move or make any ticking sounds. i will admit that watches are not really my area of expertise. I would be happy to accept a much lower offer. I'm not sure how much it would take to get it working or if it could be used for parts

paulk795 @threewitches hi there . its a self winding watch .. aka automatic.. you would need to shake it for a few minutes to see if that activates it. for automatic watches just the movement of wearing it is supposed to be enough to "wind it" . if the second hand does not move after shaking it for a few minutes the watch is defective and pretty well worthless expect maybe for parts .... fixing it would cost multiples of its value .. watch repair guys are really expensive ..
