Quebec Merchant Stoneware jug, stamped 4 lines, circa 1890's. A unique vintage item whose imperfections and quirky spelling mistake only add to its beauty and uniqueness! The person handling the stamp that day probably had one too many! Collectible and truly a treasure for your home. • Salt glazed jug with beautiful color and patina • Nice stamp: A.G. Lambert, MARCHAND EPICIER, VNIS ET LIQUEURS, LEVIS (meaning A.G. Lambert, Merchant Grocer, Wines and Liquors, Levis) • Quirky spelling mistake: ‘’Vins’’ (i.e. Wines) is misspelled as ‘’Vnis’’ (i.e. Wnies). Someone tipsy in charge of the stamp maybe? Fun!
