Here lies my first pair of Tom Ford Eyeglasses. These served me well for all of about 6 months and then my own error led to the arm snaping off at the lense. I attempted to breathe life back into them with glue... as one would geuss this was a temporary, aswell as messy fix that lasted about 2 weeks. After that point they sat broken in their cozy case until I stumbled upon them only to stress test them out of curiosity and the realization that they have become valueless and have no use to me now... Here you are witnessing the result of said stress test, 5 minutes of vicious twisting and snapping of these designer eyeglasses. May they rest in peace. As grim as this tale has been written, it is but a lesson to show that things with a strong name are only half as strong in quality most of the time. They are usually ofcourse also not worth the price being asked for them.

tautsleemcqueen @taylor_lad I don’t know about you but I’ve had my Tom Ford glasses since December 2019 and they’ve been amazing. My younger sister just got a pair last spring and they’re still alive. 😆 I really don’t know what you did wrong for this to have happened. My glasses usually last me about 5-6 years before anything remotely close to what happened to yours happen… good luck with your new pair 😉! 💙

taylor_lad @tautsleemcqueen ahhaha honestly it's most my own error that led to the initial break. they did deform a bit accident. The above picture is what I did to them after they were able to be repaired. They are great glasses really.

tautsleemcqueen @taylor_lad truly no luck with you glasses. And I wouldn’t suggest contact lenses. 😩 a headache. I guess it’s just being more careful. I never take off my glasses anymore so I know I won’t lose them. And last time I broke my glasses, I bought a second pair in case I were to break them in the middle of my day, I have a spare at home. 😩 last time I went blind for about 1 month before getting 2 new pairs. No more living blindly 😂

taylor_lad @tautsleemcqueen That's fair statement yep😁😅. I know what you mean. Tried em once, just wouldn't work for me. I don't go blind without them, but my prescription definitely changes and I often end up with different prescriptions for each eye😂

tautsleemcqueen @taylor_lad oh wow! My left eye prescription stayed the same since I first got glasses 15 years ago. My right eye caught up by .25 now. So they’re both at 2.5 now. I guess I am lucky to have both eyes even. I just can’t force them anymore to try and see. I like the safety of my glasses. I remember most of my early high school days, the effort I made to try and read by squinting 🤣 not I can’t live without my glasses. Get yours quick 😆 it’s too much effort squinting.

taylor_lad @tautsleemcqueen squinting doesn't even work for me man. I hardly even try to see if its too small, there isn't a chance. otherwise I can see pretty well. I just picked up a pair of DITA off here as a replacement pair, so once I get prescriptions in those ill be good.

psychonautsage Hahaha OMG! My bf had a moment of severe frustration in the car once and took it out on his basically brand new TF eye glasses which also failed in an epic disaster! Luckily we found the lenses and he was able to order new frames to pop them into. But yes, definitely not stronger than any other frame.
