Tru Trussardi blush leather fringed pochette, NWT

The history of luxury fashion house Trussardi of Milan, is lengthy, celebrated, and tragic all at once. The company began producing leather gloves in 1911, and by the late 80s, they had launched ready to wear lines for both men and women, perfumes, shoes, and leather goods. Despite assorted and earlier than expected deaths in the family over the past century, the company is still in the hands of a scion of the Trussardi family. This gorgeous blush leather pochette, with its impeccably stitched on fringe, is perfectly formal with an edge. I love the no-fuss convenience of the wrist strap, it's big enough for a few basics. It could fit a tablet in a pinch. The top grain leather is supple and of excellent quality. The lining is some kind of thick, textured satin jacquard, quite fancy. I spent years thinking the logo represented the silhouette of some kind of vintage sewing machine, but I just discovered that it is, in fact, a silhouette of a greyhound.
