True vintage, Union-made 1950s skirt

Winter wonderland — shimmer like frost on a window! A real piece of history. This gorgeous peony skirt was a damaged dress that I had professionally altered into a skirt. It has a French “étiquette syndicale” from Quebec to show it was made by unionized workers. The design of the tag indicates that it was made in the 1950s. The bow was rescued from the neckline and can be moved as it is on a pin. See the photos for some interesting background.
