Tsubota Pearl Hard Edge Lighter in Cloud

The hard-edge lighter is an iconic Tsubota Pearl design. Made with a polycarbonate exterior, and steel/cotton lighter interior. This one comes in such a fun print, with puffy clouds set against a sky blue backdrop. In like new condition, never used–the interior lighter can be taken out of the case, and the user soaks the bottom in lighter fluid to use. As evidenced by the photos, it has not been soaked or used at all! We took a contrarian approach to introduce an un-ergonomic lighter with minimal ‘hard’ outlines, emphasising its objectness. This was an outcome of multiple efforts to strip all decoration for function — the simple shape of the lighter is what emerged from this investigation.
