Two antique George Skey Wilnecote Tamworth crocks available for purchase. These natural stone crocks are like owning a part of English history. These crocks were produced between 1892 and 1935 in Wilnecote, England. The tops of the jars are glazed to a cognac colour and the bottoms are simply clear coated to show the natural colour of the stone. The jars have a tapered opening with a rounded lip and braided detail around the larger circumference. The company stamp can be seen at the bottom of one crock: George Skey Wilnecote Tamworth.
The second crock looks the same , a natural stone crock that is unbranded but most likely from the George Skey & Company (Wilnecote, Tamworth, England) or the Price, Sons & Company (Bristol). It's not uncommon to find this type of jar unbranded. Some marks but in good antique condition. Great shape and size for decoration.
