Mushrooms at Eyeball Junction By Kim Barraclough Watercolour & gel pen on watercolour paper This painting is part of loosely connected series of surreal paintings I made featuring waterscapes with strange mushrooms and craggy rocks with eyeballs. Why did I make these? Dunno. I was experimenting with surrealism and “what if”!landscapes. Most people either love these or hate them. Lol! I accept that they aren’t for everyone but I think they’re pretty unique, inventive, & cool. I especially love that they aren’t typical watercolour paintings. Sometimes different is good😊 Forget the outrageous high end gallery prices. Art is for everyone. I hope the prices shown on the art I have available, which is created by myself or my late grandmother, will seem fair & reasonable given the time and effort that goes into original art. If you desperately want a piece but feel it’s out of your price range don’t be shy about asking for price negotiations. Purchasing unframed artwork is a great way to accumulate a reasonably priced original art collection. This way you get to choose what type of frame is used and how much you wish to spend on it. *This piece will arrive well protected but unframed.
