Uniqlo “Utility Work Pants” from the men’s department that worked perfectly for me, a size medium 5’9” woman. Straight leg, utilitarian look, great medium weight navy coloured cotton. Drawstring inside waistband means it can be adjusted at will. Mirror photo shows me wearing them slightly high on the waist. First photo from Uniqlo site (these are no longer made / sold).
