This is a very unique piece. The shape is almost an elongated diamond. The colour is most accurately reflected in the two last photos. It's a dark charcoal colour. The composition of the pendant isn't known; it isn't heavy, it's smooth with an inlaid design on each side that looks gold in color and could be abstract or not. The necklace cannot be confirmed to be silver but it tarnishes and it's been polished.

kellymacmb @cathydenton hi Cathy, I added a new photo of the back of the pendant. It looks to me like it's the same or similar design on front and back. As for the links, I added a photo as well that's closer up that might help. I can't see that the links have any gaps and have just been closed, but I also can't say that they've been soldered, it's difficult to try and see even with the lighted magnifying glass I have.
