This is a vintage & unique hand woven rug. The rug image is a based on a painting created by Italian artist and painter - Ettore Simonetti (1857-1909) - called "the jewel box". Ettore Simonetti was an Italian artist, painter and watercolorist, born in 1857, in Rome, Italy. He specialized in Orientalist works and historical genre scenes. This rug is unique and has hundreds of colors in it. Some areas are engraved and/or embossed to make it more alive and to maximize the details.
