Unique handcrafted African Blackwood carving

Vintage African Blackwood intricately carved with the centre hollowed out. Tree of life with African figures all around this single piece of wood. African Blackwood is very expensive and very hard to work with by hand. Shows the yellow sapwood and the darker heartwood. Stands 11 1/2” tall and 3 1/2” wide. Top can be used to hold a candle, trinkets, or what have you. Stunning and heavy piece. Disclaimer: I can’t see any cracks at the bottom as there isn’t any separation. Maybe sap? Smoke free, cat friendly home.
