This amazing top is a piece of wearable art made in the small Route 66 town of Jerome Arizona. They are no longer being made so this is a truly unique item. The appliques are sewn on and the studs and bejewelling are affixed well (as in not just glued on). There is no size tag but I am listing this as a 2X based on the measurements. Of course it can be worn oversized as well. The lay flat measurements are as follows:
pit to pit 24.5 in
length 29 in
Here is what I found about the brand on the internet:
"In the early sixties Alfredo’s Wife, Ava Dering, (her husband was Alfredo), began receiving invitations from ladies who had seen her designs while traveling through historic Jerome, Arizona. She was asked to show her distinctive yet elegant casual clothing in homes from LaJolla, California to Daufuski Island, South Carolina. Her tops , bottoms, dresses and caftans were once draped over President Harry Truman’s piano.
From the beginning, the whimsical, yet elegant clothes have been made of natural fabrics (mostly cotton) and artfully adorned with sumptuous appliqués (many with jewel and stud embellishments)."
