Buttons have heraldic design and say "Sine Deo Nil"; this appears to be a variation of "Nihil sine Deo", Latin for "Nothing without God"

*This vest appears to be c. 1946 to mid-1950s:
- metallic yarn was first invented in 1946 (and became more popular in the 1960s as new laminating techniques were developed)
- the lack of fabric content and care tags dates this prior to the late 1950s when companies began to add this information to garments, though not consistently
- the lack of fabric content and care tags dates this to pre-December 1, 1972 (at least here in Canada) with the passing of the Textiles Labelling Act, Canada
- HOWEVER, companies were allowed to add care and content to hang tags, so the lack of these is not definitive
- I couldn't find anything about the label, except "Jango" is a Basque word for "to eat."
